Autumn Mood Board
2018 has been really tough, and it's very tempting to write off the whole affair as 'a bad year' and wait until 2019 rolls in for a fresh start. But, I don't want to wish my life away - so I'm trying very hard to ground myself and enjoy the next few months.
Autumn is my favourite season (yes, I am painfully basic) and I've always loved the feeling of freshness and renewal it brings. Time for new books and pencils, getting your cosy sweaters out of the bottom drawer, eating soup for dinner, getting excited about Halloween, reading spooky novels, strolling to work every morning surrounded by beautiful golden leaves, and enjoying cosy evenings snuggled on the sofa. It's also a celebratory season for my family: featuring my parents' wedding anniversary (on Halloween!), both of their birthdays, my anniversary with my partner, my partner's birthday, my brother's birthday, and my birthday (this year will be the last one of my 20's!).
I've just had a week off work, which gave me some much needed time to relax and get on top of jobs around the house. It also gave me the headspace to think about what I'd like to achieve in the coming months. Key goals for me include getting back to regular yoga and meditation, planning and eating lots of healthy vegetarian meals, and making sure I leave lots of time for myself to do things I enjoy like reading, painting, and playing video games. I’m also eager to spruce up our little flat in preparation for the long cold months ahead.
I’ve put together a little mood board filled with things for the new season. Hope you enjoy!
